Relaxing-Bakura Shimmer

Yeah I know, not the most original title. I'm not really good at coming up with titles for my artwork.

Matierials: Sketchpad, pencil, pen for inking lineart, Cryola colored pencils, iPad-Picture, Photoshop for enhancements

Now that I've got all the technical crap out of the way, I felt inspired to draw another Bakura Shimmer piece. This drawing features my two favorite characters, Yami Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh and Sunset Shimmer from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls.

My original idea was to do an angsty drawing for a story I'm thinking about writing. But I grew impatient with the other one and the proportions were getting all fudged up. Just wasn't working out, so I searched for some sitting poses and found those two by Senshi Stock. They were perfect, so I drew Bakura and Sunnyshim relaxing on a couch. Well it wasn't a couch when I first started, just added the couch cause I figured they needed to be sitting on something. 

Lots of erasing, redrawing to make sure everything looked as good as it could, had trouble with thier hands but moreso in the first drawing I tried to do.  
Inked in lineart, ereased pencil art, then began coloring it in for a few hours, lots of shading.

I think these two are turning into a ship for me. This honestly didn't happen intentionally but I just liked drawing them together. They are fun to draw. Bakura's hair is a challenge but oddly satisfying to draw. Also enjoyed drawing/coloring in his eyes and hair too. Sunnyshim is fun to color with her colorful hair. So I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out.
